During the lockdown, when all theatres are closed, many producers have decided to release their films on the OTT platforms. During this time period, a lot of films and series have been released digitally which received a great response from the fans. And now according to the latest reports, the makers of “Coolie No 1” which will star Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan are in talks with Amazon Prime Video for simultaneous OTT and theatrical release.
David Dhawa directed this film which is the remake of his own previous film of the same name which stars Karishma Kapoor and Govinda. Varun will step into the boots of Govinda for playing this role. The director has very high hopes for this film. Therefore they are currently exploring the possibilities of a hybrid release.
They want to release Coolie No 1 simultaneously on single screen theatres and the OTT platform. It is likely that they will reach a decision by the end of this month and will soon announce the release date of this film.
