The anger of the Indian farmers has reached another level after the incident that took place this Sunday at the Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh. On Sunday, four farmers lost their lives when a car owned by the Federal Minister, Ajay Mishra ran over the protesting farmers. The farmers are accusing that the son of Ajay Mishra was present inside the car when the convoy ran over the farmers. However, the junior home minister denied this accusation.
However, after this incident, chaos broke out and a lot of lives were lost. Ajay Mishra also stated that his driver and three members of the BJP who were present inside the car were also killed in the aftermath. On Monday, the police lodged a criminal complaint against a total of 14 people. It includes the son of the minister as well. A complaint was registered against him in connection to the death of the four farmers.
Now, a large number of people are moving towards the Lakhimpur district of Uttar Pradesh in order to intensify the protest ahead of the polls. The farmers also assured that they will continue to expand their protest peacefully by showing black flags to any BJP leader who will show up in public.
