The much-awaited Punjabi movie “Maa” finally hit the screens. The film featured Divya Dutta, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Gippy Grewal, Babbal Rishi, Prince Kanwaljit, and Nirmal Rishi in leading roles. The start of the film was quite slow and its first half was a bit sloppy. However, Divya Dutta and Gurpreet Ghuggi’s acting carried it somehow.
The second half of the film impressed everyone. It was a perfect blend of emotions, story, music, drama, social message, and exceptional performances. Maa’s second half was quite gripping and it certainly saved the sailing ship. The acting of all the actors was on point but it was Divya Dutta who stole the show with her performance.
The film story featured the struggle of a single mother of two kids, and one of them is adopted. Divya’s character was quite bold and was ready to go against anyone who troubles her family. Overall, the film is a good emotional drama that comes with a great social message. If it wasn’t for the sloppy first part, Maa could’ve become one of the best films of this year.
