Punjab State Women Commission has issued a legal notice against the makers of an upcoming Punjabi film titled “Ni Main Sass Kuttni.” The reason for this notice is the very title of this movie. Now, the makers have to present themselves on April 22, 2022, to explain the use of such a title that promotes violence.
Ms. Manisha Gulati, the chairperson of the Punjab State Women Commission even went live on her Facebook handle to discuss this issue. According to her, in the state of Punjab, every woman is loved and respected by each other. They even stand up and help others and the relations are cherished. However, Ni Main Sass Kuttni is going against everything, and hence it is very disrespectful and the film should not be promoted.
Ni Main Sass Kuttni’s trailer was recently released and it received a good response from the viewers. Ni Main Sass Kuttni will feature Mehtab Virk, Tanvi Negi, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Nirmal Rishi, and Karamjit Anmol in lead roles. The film is all set to hit the theaters on April 29, 2022.
