A famous Bollywood actress and the former girlfriend of Sushant Singh Rajput has finally been arrested today. However, she wasn’t arrested for the murder or suicide of SSR but for being involved in the illegal drug trade. Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) finally issued her arrest warrant after questioning her for three days. And now as a major breakthrough, the actress has been sent in judicial custody for two weeks.
Rhea Chakraborty also applied for her bail after her arrest. However, NCB already made it clear that they will be opposing her plea and the hearing for the same is already under process. NCB arrested Rhea under sections 8 (c), 20 (b), 27 (a), 28, and 29 of the NDPS act in the illegal drug trade.
Meanwhile, her lawyer, Satish Maneshinde opposed this act and call this arrest a distortion of justice. According to him, three agencies were hunting her only because she was a girlfriend of a “drug addict.”
