The sudden outbreak of the Coronavirus forced several Bollywood films to release digitally instead of a theatrical release. From Gulaabo Sitabo, Gunjan Saxena, Sadak 2, many more decided to release on OTT platforms. And now it seems like Richa Chadha starrer Biopic of Shakeela might also release on the OTT platform.
The movie based on the real-life of south actress “Shakeela” is one of the most anticipated films of this year. According to reports, the project directed by Indrajit Lankesh is now wrapped and is only waiting for the right time to release.
The film features the controversial life of adult film star Shakeela and her journey through the male-dominated southern industry in the 90s. The producers are in talks with several OTT platforms. And they will soon reveal the release date of the film along with the platform on which it will be released.
