Sanjay Leela Bhansali is said to be one of the best filmmakers in Bollywood. He delivered blockbusters like Devdas, Bajirao Mastani, Padmavat, and many more. Currently, he is busy with the production of Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi. And there is already a lot of buzz going around his next project titled “Heera Mandi.”
It was supposed to be a film but now it will be a web series that will premiere on Netflix. It will be a period set in the early 1800s to 1950s. According to a report by Pinkvilla, Sonakshi Sinha was approached to play the lead role in this show. She liked the script and agreed to be a part of it. Now she only has to sign on the dotted line.
Along with Sonakshi, the fans will also see Manisha Koirala, Sayani Gupta, Nimrat Kaur, and Huma Qureshi playing important roles. The first season of the show is scheduled for eight episodes. Sanjay Leela Bhansali will direct the first two and the last episode of this show.
