The farmers have been protesting in India for weeks for their rights. They are protesting peacefully against the farm bill passed by the government. However, from the very start of this protest, Godi media has been trying to convert this protest into terrorism. They have been spreading fake news, using hate speech only to turn the morale of the farmers down.
Godi Media is a term used for media organizations that are said to be the lapdogs Modi government. The farmers have been chanting “Godi Media, go back” whenever they arrive at the protest site to distract the audience. The farmers of India are already going through a lot including the chilly weather of Delhi. At this tough time, Khalsa Aid came forward to support the farmers. But now the media have started to connect their selfless activities with an act of terrorism.
What is Khalsa Aid?
Before we tell you more about what is happening, first we will tell you what is Khalsa Aid. It is a UK based international non-profit humanitarian organization giving support to victims of natural and man-made disasters around the world. It is founded by Ravi Singh. Khalsa Aid has been serving since 1999 and already helped a lot of time. They also served in London in 2016 during heavy floods. Khalsa Aid has provided drinking water, geysers, washing machines, foot massage machines, winter essentials, etc. at the site of the farmer’s protest.
Zee News Accused Khalsa Aid of Taking Funds From BKI
BKI (Babbar Khalsa International) is a Sikh militant organization. They are declared as a terrorist organization that showed resistance in several countries. And now Zee News crossed all their limits by accusing Khalsa Aid. According to Godi Media, Khalsa Aid is helping farmers for their own benefit. The media have been spreading fake news and hate with their videos. They are saying that Khalsa Aid is plotting something and are only showing that they are helping farmers. Several celebrities joined Khalsa Aid and served along with them in the Singhu border.
It is very disappointing to see Indian media pulling these stunts only for the sake of publicity. The founder of Khalsa Aid also posted a tweet after watching the video of Zee news and several other Godi media channels.
The seva of @Khalsa_Aid in India started in 1999 with Orissa Cyclone ! Since then we have carried out dozens of aid missions across the country!
It’s funny how the Indian right wing media has started dirty propaganda against Khalsa Aid now that we are assisting #FarmersProtest

Many people spoke against the media and praise Khalsa Aid for all their work in the time of need. We hope that Indian media will stop showing such bullshit and focus on the content that really matters for the citizens of India.
